Policy 10 -- Heritage Assets

 

Policy Purpose: To seek specific reference to the Heritage and Conservation Area Maps and List so that proposals for development properly assess the effects on these assets.

 

Development proposals should recognise, conserve and enhance the significance of heritage assets and respect their setting.  These assets are set out on the Neighbourhood Plan Heritage and Conservation Area Maps and List including both listed and unlisted heritage buildings.

Where proposals alter, extend, or demolish  designated or non-designated assets they should be accompanied by a Heritage Appraisal, Significance Statement and Impact Assessment.
