The eagle-eyed amongst you will have noticed that, for the first time in many years, the flag outside the Village Hall was not raised today to remember the fallen. This was due to illness. Robin Buncome, who is our diligent flag steward, is the latest villager to have succumbed to COVID-19 and was unable to do his normal duties. He very sensibly felt it unwise for anyone else to collect the flag from him and take over, in case of infection.
