Parish Council News
Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, and in line with Government guidance, the Annual Parish Meeting that was scheduled for 6 May 2020 is cancelled. A decision will be taken later to determine whether the meeting will be held later in the year, or whether we wait until 2021. Similarly, the Annual Parish Council Meeting, scheduled for 11 May 2020, has been postponed. In line with advice from the National Association of Local Councils and Government guidance, the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Council will continue in office until such time that the Annual Council Meeting can be held. In the meantime, the Council has begun meeting remotely to handle essential business. It held its first remote meeting on 20 April 2020. Draft minutes will be posted on line on the Walberswick website. Physical notice boards will not be used during this time. The next regular meeting of the Council will be held remotely at 7.15 pm on 11 May 2020. The Council agenda provides instruction for members of the public who may wish to attend the Council meetings on-line. Members of the public can also reach the Council, as usual, by writing to the Clerk at walberswickclerk@gmail.com.
