Wendy Sinclair passed away peacefully on October 2nd 2024, aged 92 years, at St Barnabas care home in Southwold, having recently moved from her home of more than 60 years in Church Lane Walberswick. Wendy alongside her future husband Chris trained at the Wimbledon Art School then The Slade School of art in London and continued to create works of art for the rest of her life, despite bringing up a family of four, contributing to many aspects of Village life and caring for elderly relatives.
She will be missed by her many friends for her kind nature, generosity of spirit, intellect, gentle humour and love of nature. She was especially proud of her wild and beautiful garden which was the subject of many of her paintings and frequently the venue for afternoon tea with friends and family. She will also be remembered for her deeply held but unassuming religious belief and constant support of Walberswick church where her funeral took place on the 22nd October. We would like to thank all those who joined us in saying goodbye to our remarkable mother.
